Who we are

Sozo YTH is run by Pastor Joey Hoover and his wife Cass along with their son Jonah. They came to Sozo in February 2025 after doing Youth and Worship ministry for the past decade in both Portland, OR and in the Bay Area, CA. They are huge foodies and love to find the coolest coffee shops wherever they find themselves. Their heart for the ministry at Sozo YTH is to equip young people with the knowledge of the Word believing that it does not return void (Isaiah 55:11) and that students will not only understand who they are in the story of Jesus’s Gospel but be changed in light of the truth of his Gospel.

At Sozo YTH expect to have a snack, a drink, and a fun game to start off the night heading into a time of worship right before a teaching in whatever series the YTH group is in. At the end of the service there is time to meet with peers and discuss the sermon and how it applies to their lives via breakout questions with pick up at 830p.
